As we focus on church planting, our mission is making disciples who can make other disciples. Therefore, mission and evangelism is our primary work. We have mission pastor and missionary pastors who works together for evangelism and church planting movement. Missionary pastors evangelize in new places and mission pastor will help in supplying their physical and spiritual needs in that place. Mission pastor’s main role is helping them to train lay-leaders and networking with others to meet their needs. We also do mission trip and open gospel program to expose new people in the ministry and evangelism.
Pastor Nahakul Tamang has been working as a mission pastor and associate president of Bethlehem church Nepal. He has been also teaching in different Bible schools and Colleges as part-time teacher. He has finished his Masters of Arts in Transformational Leadership at International Graduate School of Leadership from Philippines.
He is very passionate about discipling and training leaders for the transformation of the community. His role is overseeing all Bethlehem churches and training lay-leaders. As a mission pastor he is also responsible for finding partners in order to fulfill physical and spiritual need of the church. The need can be training resources and financial resources for the training, church buildings and support for the church planters. We are very open to work together for the glory of God. As Jesus showed compassion to children and poor, we also do compassion work for them. We have been taking care of some orphan children with our church leaders. They are taking care of them as family members. They can feel family environment as they live together. We especially help them for their better education with the partnership of Nawa Aasha Nepal. We also support some poor children for their educations. We also help poor people when they are in need of medical treatment, food and when they lost their properties. There are many ways to show compassion in Nepal. We show compassion when there is need in community.
Evangelism, discipleship training and compassion ministries are foundation for church planting. We send people in church planting training and send them to plant churches where there is need. We ask them to start fellowship even though there is only one family. Then slowly the member will be added. Many people they don’t want to travel far way to have fellowship. When they grow up in quantity and quality then we hand over to local leadership. We just visit sometimes and encourage them as apostle Paul did.
